Riverside Summer STEAM Series

Join us at Riverside on select summer Tuesdays from 10:00 - 12:00 for hands-on learning experiences that interweave STEAM concepts with engaging read-alouds, outdoor exploration, and joyful play and movement. Programming designed for children ages 3-6.

Not familiar with STEAM? It's an acronym that stands for Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math. STEAM-based education encourages interdisciplinary learning and problem solving, and is a great jumping off point for engaging hands-on learning and exploration.

Weather permitting, we'll be spending lots of time outside, so please dress accordingly! Families are invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy together during the final portion of the program.

$15 per session. Save $25 when you register for the full series, or buy a 6-class pass and save $15.

Programming Schedule:

Tuesday, June 14 - Beyond Blocks: Creative Construction: We'll open our imaginations and explore the concepts of architecture and engineering using recycled objects to engage in creative construction.

Tuesday, June 28 - Wonderful Wind: We'll design wind-powered vehicles, make our own kites, and create blow-paint masterpieces.

Tuesday, July 12 - Captivating Clouds: We’ll learn about different types of clouds, create our own cloud artwork, and engage in hands-on exploration of the role of clouds in the water cycle.
